Kendall Jenner is bringing back the noughties square tip French manicure

Kendall Jenner is the latest star on the noughties nail brigade. Over the past few months, we've seen beautiful variations of ultra-square nails – last loved circa 2007 – time and time again. But whether it's Leni Klum or Zendaya, the sharp nail shape is all the rage at the moment. After the noughties, extreme square nails went out of style thanks to their hard, angular look and were replaced by almond nails. However, Kendall Jenner is now proving that the softer shape may be a thing of the past — since her latest manicure takes square nails to the next level.

On December 19, 2023, the model posted a series of pictures on her Instagram account, including a close-up of her nails. In addition to the martini glass she is holding in her hand, you can also see her fresh French nails, which have an ultra-angular nail shape.

Kendall Jenner's nail look is actually pretty classic, as the French mani was often seen on square nails, especially in the early noughties. However, the corners were often slightly rounded and the tips thicker — you know you know the chunky acrylic nail look we're referencing.

However, there is certainly no trace of any rounded corners in Kendall's nail shape, which immediately gives her classic French nails a little bit of an edge. And that's exactly what we love so much about this mani.
